I am new to this forum so please bear with me.
I am the individual who posted the discovery thread on the RPF about the Anakin ROTS glove buckles (RPF thread). In case you are not able to view this thread, I will reitterate the information here.
About a year ago, Primrodo was given my name by a mutual aquaintance and contacted me asking if I would be able to help him make a set of buckles like those on the Anakin ROTS glove. He supplied me with a few photos of the C3 glove and a Rubuies glove for comparison. I was reluctant at first as I had other projects I was working on and didn't have the time. Primrodo was very persuasive and I finally agreed to make him a prototype set for his eventual run of gloves. I made the prototype set out of flat and hand bent stainless steel sheet, security screws, and hand bent wire rings. At the time I made this prototype set, I had already located the correct screws that matched the hero prop but had no luck in finding any place where I could purchase a small quantity, so I was stuck using the closest looking screw I could find. Primrodo insisted they be made from sheet stock as he believed this was the way they were made (I believe the Rubies glove has stamped buckles) while I maintained they were a solid piece, but I was making them to his specifications so I did them 'stamped'. I delevered his prototype set but decided I really would not have the time to make the quantity he was looking for while still keeping the price cost enough. I looked for some help for him with this project but could not find anyone who was interested. I moved on to other projects and forgot about these buckles until just before Christmas when a weird twist of fate would bring these buckles back to me.
THE STORY:
My company has an annual Christmas party every year where we have a bar-b-que and all the employees are allowed to have their families come for lunch after a half days' work. My wife and son came for the first time this year and when we left, I took a different route home because I could take advantage of the car pool lane. At the top of the freeway offramp, a motorcycle rider pulled up next to us and I commented to my wife how smart a rider he was wearing full leather riding gear. As I looked down at his boots I was shocked to see a very familiar shape, the buckle. I was lucky enough that the manufacturer of the boot just happen to emblazen the company name on the side of the boot. When I got home the first thing I did was a quick internet search and within 5 minutes had the boots I was looking for. The boots are made by SIDI and the buckles can be found on the Discovery, Force SRS, Force TA, and Mini Force series of boots. Sidi boots As luck would have it, you can buy replacement straps for these boots which include the buckle for about $8.00 per pair. Now I had the correct type of screws and correct buckles.

I recently found a supply house in the United Kingdom where I can get the correct style screws, and I have a contact helping me get a few sizes of these screws to determine which size is the accurate one. Also, I think I am reasonably sure I have found the correct loop ring for these buckles also. I have an order for these in with a supply house and will know for sure when they come in. All that is left is to nail down the side plate, but after a few weeks of searching, I still don't have any leads. I think once I get the correct screws in hand, I will scale off of the supplied pics and manufacture my own side plates for the buckles. Eventually, I will offer a limi
