Så har jeg skrevet noget, se lige på det om det var hvad du mente The style of your jedi is as important as the colours. The category ’generic jedi’ is hard to define, and the standards change from time to time. Remember to always check the current standards to make sure your design can be approved.
The most common style is based closely on the robes worn by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu and several others. It features a long sleeved IT, a mid thigh OT with loose sleves reaching to the knuckles, obi and tabs in the same colour and facric as the OT, and loose pants. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan were the first Republic jedi to be seen on film, and many see their style as the most accurately jedi.
As we move through the prequels, the comics, the video games and generally vast amount of EU material, we see that the jedi are as diverse as can be imagined, and that their style change through the eras. Most of them are so unique that they cannot be combined with other styles to make a generic jedi, but are considered solely a costume for that character.
A very feminine style is that of Jocasta Nu. Her OT is similar to that of Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, if only a little shorter, but in stead of pants she wears a full, floor length skirt. Her tabs are considerably longer than average, and share the same geometrical pattern as the obi.
Several other jedi wear skirts in stead of pants or even dresses in stead of either IT or OT. A few examples are old Ben Kenobi, Barriss Offee and Atris from the KotOR2 game.
Another style is that of Ki-Adi-Mundi. His tunic appears more saggy and thin bands around his wrists hold his sleeves in place. He wears a crossover between a robe and a OT with no sleeves and a hood. The skirt of this OT/robe is rounded as to be long in the back and short in front.
Kit Fisto and Plo Koon both have a mandarin style collar on their IT. This is a great style for aliens with full masks, as the collar helps conceal the edges of the mask.
Anakin Skywalker’s Clone Wars attire is long and somewhat snug fitting. He wears a knee length IT with narrow sleeves and an even longer OT that barely closes under his obi. This gives him a very tall and slim look.
Jedi like Luminara Unduli, Shaak Ti and Ahsoka Tano wear a ornamental lower tab with intricate patterns. While a generic jedi needs tabs that go over the shoulders, it can still be a great idea to draw inspiration from these if you want to decorate your tabs for a more personal look.
